ABOUT An artist who happens to work in flowers
Natalia trained as a soil scientist before she became a florist — and it shows. Her installations treat petals, stems, sand and raw earth as one palette, built around the questions that first drew her to soil: how color shifts across a landscape, how texture holds light, how a material carries the memory of a place.
That instinct has taken her from flower festivals in Spain and Japan to runway-scale shows in Beijing, from a silver medal in Singapore to Vice-Champion of the 2019 Interflora World Cup. She now directs the art bureau Тридворнова (Tridvornova) and continues to compete, exhibit and teach internationally.
ARTIST'S STATEMENT — DRAFT, FOR NATALIA TO CONFIRM
I started in soil, not in flowers. The color, the texture, the memory a landscape holds — that's still what I build with, whatever material is in my hands.
